1:1 yoga as therapy sessions; healing for body and mind

If you are coming to Yoga with a specific short or long-term condition or injury may wish to consider an initial 1:1 yoga therapy consultation. Yoga therapy is not like attending a class – here your symptoms are the primary focus, and the Yoga is specific to your needs. Yoga therapy seeks support the healing process through improving and/or managing symptoms. A practical programme of Yoga – specific stretches, postures, breath-work, relaxation, yoga nidra and meditation – is suggested.

Yoga has been used therapeutically for hundreds of years to treat the whole body, physical and psychological. Recent studies are beginning to show the effectiveness of Asana (posture) and Pranayama (breathing) practices in treating a wide range of symptoms. Yoga teaches how to control emotions and alter thought patterns (habits) which can help to transform negative behaviours with an additional benefit being improvements in physical fitness.

Yoga therapy aims to create a programme that will allow long-term management of your symptoms. Some of the conditions that can benefit are:

  • back pain and stiffness
  • sciatica
  • stress, anxiety and depression
  • sleep disturbances
  • pre + post surgery strength and mobility
  • regaining strength after illness

Yoga therapy appointments are 45 minutes long.

Single appointment  – £40 | Block of 5 sessions – £180

A £20 deposit is required at the time of booking (non-refundable)
